The Atlas Berber Route - Morocco

Back

Our horse riding holidays are for people with good riding skills with the ability to ride at all paces. It's also important to be able to dismount on rocky paths, and how the horses to climb up or down the hardest hills whilst allowing your horse to breathe. "What our clients say" All the horses are stallions. So they're tough, good with humans, and need a firm hand constantly because they want to go fast. The guides are very very good. They are both young, full of energy and humour and they also keep a close eye on you and correct you if you are doing something wrong. The ride is demanding particularly the first two days, there are lots of canters and gallops. Not a trail for beginners. The landscape ranges from stark desert as far as the eye can see with camels roaming around, to oases and primitive villages.the locals are very friendly and make a huge fuss of you. Food is excellent, healthy Moroccan food. The group consisted of people from all over Europe who were very interesting. Camping is huge fun. The staff put the tents up for you and took them down. Those who were on their own had tents to themselves. I had a brilliant holiday. Many thanks Louise. Regards Julian A rider in full desert gear on a forward going Arab Cross horse
