| Day 1 |
Transfer to Beach Club |
| Day 2 |
Get to know your horse. You will be allocated your horse and have a ‘get to know’ ride along the beaches around Dahab. The rest of the day will be free to explore the town and relax. |
| Day 3 |
We will leave Beach Club early in the morning by mini bus and head north towards the Dahab check point. 7km past this check point we drive into Wadi Z where our ride begins. First we ride through this 35km long Wadi where we can have a proper gallop across the sand and really open up the horses. Leaving the open Wadi behind us we reach the most challenging part of the trip, it’s a 10km route which can only be accessed by horse, camel or by foot. This beautiful canyon is reminiscent of Petra (from the Indiana Jones film), with its high imposing walls and beautiful rock formations. There is one water source located about half way through the canyon, here we can stop and water the horses if they need it. Continuing up the canyon we arrive at Camp 1 where we will be staying overnight surrounded by palm trees and are welcomed by our Bedouin host with dinner and a room at the ‘Hotel of a Thousand Stars’. |
| Day 4 |
Our Bedouin guide will wake us while preparing a traditional Bedouin breakfast. Once we are tacked up and ready to go we continue on our way to Wadi Arada. The first 25 km leads us across the open desert before we reach the only road and sign of civilisation on our trip. When we leave the road behind us we are into Wadi A. We pass the famous ‘Rock of Inscriptions’ which is said to be the signature of every traveller and nomad to pass from the Sinai into Israel thousands of years ago. The afternoon gives us the chance to explore the canyons by foot and look at the beautiful views on offer. Our second night at Camp 2 will be in Wadi A with Fregg and his family. |
| Day 5 |
Again our Bedouin guide will wake us while preparing a traditional Bedouin breakfast. Today we are sightseeing from horse back. We will see the Jebel EL Macharoom (Mountian with the hole), Bir Safra (the water source), Nawamis (the oldest graves still remaining in the Sinai from the Nabatien period) and the Oasis of Ain Ahmed. For dinner and camp we return to Camp 1 in the palm trees where once again we will be served amazing food cooked by our Bedouin guide. |
| Day 6 |
Up early again, and on our way back towards Dahab after breakfast. We return back through the challenging 10km canyon, giving us the opportunity to look for rare animals, plants and at the stunning rock formations. At the end of this canyon we travel through another vast Wadi having our last gallop, unfortunately this is where your trek ends. You will be transferred back to Blue Beach Club by mini bus and will return in time to shower, change and relax before dinner. |
| Day 7 |
The day offers a well deserved rest after our safari. You will have time to relax, shop, enjoy the hotel facilities. Maybe you would like to visit the local Bedouin town, Asala. In the evening we offer an Egyptian buffet in our restaurant. |
| Day 8 |

They also provide us with plenty of bedding and blankets for sleeping in the ‘Hotel of a Thousand Stars’. |
| Meals |
All the meals on the desert trip are included in the price. It is bed and buffet breakfast when you are at the hotel, the only meal at night that is included is the Egyptian buffet on Day 7. |
| Weather |
The weather in Dahab is virtually guaranteed sun every day. It does rain sometimes between October and May but it does not last for long and is not hard (last year it rained 3 times for 5 minutes each time). The temperature in summer is up to 45 degrees so all riding is done very early in the morning and late at night when it is cooler. In winter the temperature is about 25 degrees sometimes with a slight wind so bring a windbreaker. |
| Other Activities |
For those not wanting to go on the desert trek there is lots to do in Dahab and at Blue Beach Club. Other desert trips (not involving horses) can be organised. In Dahab there is also windsurfing, kayaking, diving, quad bikes, bicycles. You can stroll along the promenade and do some shopping or just relax and try snorkelling. These activities are ideal for the non riding partner! |
