An eight year old child who was told
at check in that he could take his
favourite toy with him on an easyjet
flight was stopped by security officers
as the family passed through security
and told that Winnie the Pooh must be
put in the hold of the aircraft.
As
the family had already checked in it was
too late to put the bear in their bags.
The family asked an easyjet member of
staff to take Winnie the Pooh to lost
property for safe keeping and that they
would pick him up on their return.
Arriving back at Gatwick he family
went to lost property to reclaim Winnie
only to find that the bear was missing!
The incident happened during the
height of tightened security back in
August this year. It is reported that
many items left in lost property were
sent to various local charities.
