Welsh Cob for Madonna

Ystrad Dewi Briton, a Welsh Cob, bought by Guy Richie for his wife, Madonna's birthday appears to have a home for life!

Now known as Tom, the Welsh Cob gelding was bought as one of 6 horses so that Madonna could find the right horse for her. Madonna's first choice, a polo pony, turned out to be a too much horse and unseated her where she suffered a broken collarbone, broken hand and three broken ribs.

It now seems that Tom is the favoured mount. A steady Welsh Cob and a few lessons from British Olympic silver medallist William Fox-Pitt should sort out any initial problems.

William Fox-Pitt has also built a jumping course at the 1,200 acre estate in Wiltshire owned by Madonna and Guy Richie.
