| Accommodation and Meals |
| Accommodation varies from ride to ride ranging from Palace hotels to small rustic inns and tented camps. The one thing they all have in common is a warm and friendly atmosphere. Bathrooms and toilets are available on most rides but sometimes have to be shared. Most of the rides are half or full board . Please ask for full ride details. |

| Children |
| Some rides do have age limits on children. However, there are several rides that do take children and in some cases will specifically tailor make arrangements to accommodate the younger riders. |

| Gratuities and Tax |
| It is normal practice in the USA and Canada to add General State Tax to your bill and also 10-15% gratuities. Please be aware that payment of gratuities is expected in these countries. Sometimes these rides invoice for gratuities and General State Tax before departure and in this instance we shall add them to your invoice. | Riding Experience |
| It is very important to chose the right ride for your riding ability, not only for safety reasons but also for the enjoyment of the rest of the group.
Here is a general idea of the levels of riding experience, please remember, only you can really assess your riding ability:-
Beginner:- A person with no experience of riding.
Novice:- A rider that is capable of mounting and dismounting unassisted, can apply the basic aids, is comfortable in walk, moderate length working trots and short canters.
Intermediate:- A rider that has a firm seat, is comfortable and control at all paces (including working trots, canters and gallops), is proficient at riding over more challenging terrain that may include small jumps.
Advanced:- You should be able to ride all of the above and in addition with a balanced and independent seat, a soft hand and be confident to ride forward going, and in some cases, spirited horses.

| Types of Rides |
| Rides fall into several categories.
Trail Riding – these rides tend to be for one weeks duration for European destinations, 10 days for further afield and normally start and finish at the same point. In between you will be riding to a different point each day and staying at a different place each evening. These tours are very good for those seeking to get off the beaten tourist trails in terms of terrain, accommodation and food. Most rides use traditional country accommodation where meals are of a local, freshly produced nature. There may be an element of camping in some of these rides. For longer trail rides |
